DHAKA: Banglanews24.com, country’s leading online news portal, broadcasted the ‘Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla’ event live.

Bangladesh set world record by singing its national anthem with 2,54,681 voices together at the National Parade Ground in city’s Tejgaon area on Wednesday morning.
People from all walks of life including student, freedom fighter, Border Gourd Bangladesh (BGB), police Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Ansar, VDP personnel began singing ‘Amar Sonar Bangla Ami Tomai Bhalobashi’ (My Golden Bengal, I Love You) together at 11:20am.
According to organizers, apart from 2,54,681 people, counted by by machine, around 60,000 people also sand the national anthem together outside the venue.
During the entry to the ground, each participant was given a bag containing the national flag, a card with the national anthem and rules written on it, water, juice, saline and medicine for instant treatment, if necessary
Banglanews was involved in the program from the very first of the event and an exclusive interview was published of Major General Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardi, general officer commanding of Ninth Infantry Division.
Besides, BTV and some private TV channels also broadcasted the event live. Listeners heard the programme on Bangladesh Betar too.
