PSC publishes results of 48th special BCS written exam Bangladesh Public SErvice Commission

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) on Sunday night published the results of the written examination (MCQ-type) for the 48th Special BCS, paving the way for over 5,000 candidates to proceed to the next stage.

According to the official notice published on the PSC website around midnight, a total of 5,206 candidates have passed the written test and are now eligible to appear in the viva voce (oral) examination.

The written exam was held on 18 July 2025. Of the successful candidates, 4,695 qualified for the position of Assistant Surgeon and 511 qualified for the position of Assistant Dental Surgeon.

The PSC stated that the oral exam schedule will be announced later, and it reserves the right to make reasonable corrections to the published results if necessary.

The 48th Special BCS aims to fill 3,000 medical posts, including 2,700 Assistant Surgeons and 300 Assistant Dental Surgeons.

The recruitment circular for this special BCS was issued in November 2024, targeting urgent vacancies in the country’s public health sector. 

Qualified candidates are advised to regularly check the PSC website for updates on the oral exam schedule and follow all instructions carefully.
