RAMU, COX’S BAZAR:  Two people were killed in separate road crashes in Ramu Upazila of the district Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shah Alam, 75, and Saiful Islam, 08.

Witnesses said a Chittagong-bound microbus ran over Shah Alam while he was crossing road in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.

Besides, a bus of Saudia Paribahan knocked down Saidul near to Joarianala Bus stand, leaving him dead on the spot.

Following the accidents, locals blocked Chittagong –Cox’s Bazar highway.

Later, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
