BOGRA: Four persons were killed and nine others injured as a train rammed into a human hauler in Bhelurpara rail crossing area under Sonatala upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Alam, 40, driver of the human hauler, Nayeb Ali, 45, Abu Taher, 45, Sarwar Jahan, 45, passengers of the vehicle and residents of the area.

Railway police sources said that a Lalmonirhat-bound train hit the human hauler at the rail crossing of the area around 3:15pm, leaving four persons dead on the spot and nine others injured critically.

The injured were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

In-Charge of Bogra Railway Police Sub-Inspector Bimal Kumar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
