SYLHET: A youth was electrocuted at Uttaran Motors workshop in Tukerbazar area in the city on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Manwar Hossain, 30, son of late Chan Mia, resident of Chikarkandi of Dakkhin Sunamganj area.

Local sources said Manwar, a transport worker in Sylhet-Sunamganj bus service, was injured while he was working with a drill machine there.

He was rushed to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital immediately and duty doctor announced Manwar dead.

Later, Jalalabad Thana police sent his body to the morgue for autopsy.
