Sramik Dal man shot dead in Tangail

TANGAIL: Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal called half-day hartal for Wednesday in the municipal area after Sramik Dal leader Golam Azam was shot dead on Tuesday.

The party leaders and activists brought out a procession and protested the killing incident and supporting hartal in the area in the evening.

Earlier in the day, miscreants shot Sramik Dal district Organizing Secretary Golam Azam. Azam, son of Afaz Uddin, used to live at Bil Gharinda village in Sadar upazila.

Azam’s wife Jannatul Fatema also a witness of the incident said five people came by three motorbikes and opened fire targeting Golam Azam who was at his business office in the afternoon.
