DHAKA: Journalists are observing a huger-strike in front of the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity in capital’s Segunbagicha area Wednesday demanding trial to the killing of journalist couple Sagor Sarwar and Meherin Runi.

Members and leaders of Dhaka Reporters’ Unity started staging the strike at 11:00am and will continue till 4:00pm.

Sarwar’s mother Saleha Munir, Runi`s brother Nawsher Alam Romanm, DRU President Shahed Chowdhury, DRU general secretary Iliyas Khan and other fellow journalists took part in the strike.

The participant journalists warned of waging tougher movement demanding immediate disclosure of the Sagor-Runi murder mystery and arrest and trial to the killers.
