DHAKA: Election Working Group (EWG), a non-partisan election monitoring organization, on Monday claimed that the level of violence in the 5th phase of the 4th Upazila election was comparatively lower than that of the previous phases.

The EWG made the assertion at a press conference held at the National Pres Club.

EWG Director Abdul Alim said though the violence was lower but huge irregularities were found in publishing the polls results.

Some 104 observers brought the facts after visiting at 104 centers during the polls, he added.
