4 of family burnt alive in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Four members of a family were burnt alive after a fire broke out at a house in Sipahipara village of Adhunagar Union under Lohagara upazila of the district early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Abdur Rahim, 42, his wife Nasima Akhtar, 35 and their two daughters Reshmi, 13 and Sumi Akhtar, 9.

Local sources said that the fire caught at the house of Abdur Rahim around 3:30am when all of his family members were asleep, leaving the couple and their two daughters dead.”

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Lohagara Officer-In-Charge M Shahajahan said on information, police rushed in and recovered the bodies.
