JAMALPUR: Police held three men including an Army major with 48 bottles phensedyl from Kamalpur area under Bakshiganj upazila of the district early Thursday.

The detainees are- Major Imtiaz Nasim and his two cohorts Mamun and Sayed.

Bakshiganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Nurul Islam Khan told banglanews, “Acting on a tip off, police stopped a private car in the area around 1:00am and arrest them with 48 bottles phensedyle.”

Major Imtiaj works in Chittagong Cantonment and he was on vacation.
