RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY: The classes and exams were halted at Rajshahi University as Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has enforced a strike on the campus protesting the killing of its former Joint Secretary Rustam Ali Akanda.

Even the movements of campus buses were halted as well due to the strike.

The President of RU unit Chhatra League Mijanur Rahman Rana told banglanews that if the killers are not brought to book soon, the BCL will stage tougher demonstration including strike in the campus area.

Earlier on Friday, Rustam was shot dead by the miscreants at his room of the Suhrawardy hall of the varsity.

Officer-in-Charge of Motihar Thana ABM Rejaul Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
