COX’S BAZAR: Two persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Ukhia upazila on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Ali Ahmed, 35 and Parimal, 45, residents of the area.

Police sources said that a rashly-driven truck knocked two rickshaws from behind in the area around 11:00am, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and two others injured critically.

Locals rushed the injured to local hospital.

The bodies were sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

However, police seized the truck but failed to nab the truck driver.

Officer-in-Charge of Ukhia Thana Jahedul Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
