COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 50 thousand pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from Shah Parir Dip under Teknaf of the district on Sunday.
Acting on tip-off, BGB-42 members seized these Yaba worth about TK 1.3 crore.
Lieutenant Colonel Abuzar Al Zahid, Commanding Officer of BGB-42 Battalion told banglanews that at around 12pm, a BGB team found there 45 thousand pieces of Yaba at the toilet when raided the Jaliapara Cyclone Center.
He added that at the same time another team recovered 5,000 pieces of Yaba from the house of one Ismail Hossain, son of late Darbesh Ali residing in that area.
