DHAKA: A mini-bus of Hanif Paribahan caught fire due to engine malfunctioning in front of Notre Dame College in city on Sunday noon.

Locals douse the fire before fire fighters reached the spot.

Nilufar Yasmin, Mobilizing Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defenses informed banglanews that the fire broke out due to the malfunctioning of engine.

She added the damage of the bus worth about Tk three lakhs.

Motijheel Thana Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam said there was no passenger in the bus when it caught fire.
