DHAKA: Children under twelve will be allowed to carry up to $6,000 annually during traveling abroad under travel quota while an adult person can carry maximum $12,000 in a year.
A circular was issued in this regard by the Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday afternoon.
It said an adult person can carry 12,000 dollars during travel--$5,000 for Malaysia and other South Asian countries and $7,000 for rest of the world.
Children can carry 6,000 dollars every year but they can carry maximum $3,000 during a trip, according to the circular.
