TANGAIL: Miscreants torched a vehicle of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the remote area of Madhupur upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

Locals said that RAB-14 personnel were conducting a drive to nab an accused in that area keeping microbus at a remote area and they found their car burnt when they returned.

However, police sources said that the incident might have happened due to gas cylinder blast.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Inspector (Investigation) of Madhupur Thana Golam Mostafa said that the reason behind the incident could not be known immediately.
