DHAKA: Three people, including a five-year-old child and an aged woman, were killed in separate train incidents in the city on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Belal, 5, Saleha Begum, 50, and Mohammad Mukul, 45.

Shajahanpur Thana Sub-Inspector Hiru Mollah told banglanews: “A train hit Saleha Begum around 4:00pm while she was going to Mouchak, leaving her injured critically.”

Later, police rushed her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared her dead around 5:30pm.

Beside, Kamlapur Railway Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Sirajul Islam said a minor was killed as train hit him in Shutki Potti Rail-line area of Karwan Bazar around 5:00pm, leaving the minor dead on the spot.

On the other hand, a construction worker named Mukul died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 1:30pm who was injured critically after a train knocked him in Malibagh Rail Crossing area Malibagh.
