DHAKA: Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury Wednesday expressed her deep condolence on lawmaker Shawkat Hossain Hiron’s death.

In a statement from Jatiya Sangsad public relations department, the speaker said Hiron was the hero of Bangladesh as he served sincerely for the people until his death.

He was the friend of people and partner of their well and woe. By his death nation lost a social worker and good politician. It’s an irreparable loss for the country, it added.

Shirin seeks the eternal peace of the departed soul and pays her deep empathy to the bereaved family.
