BANGLADESH AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY: Bangladesh Agricultural University has expelled its 3 students for life and suspended 3 others in different terms for their alleged involvement in killing of Saad Ibne Momtaz.
The permanently expelled students are - Rezaul Karim Reza, student of Finance Department (final year), Sujoy Kumar Kundu, and Rokanuzzaman, student of Faculty of Fisheries Science (Level-4, semester-1).
Beside, suspended students are- Nazmul Shahadat Rasel, student of Faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology and Dewan Mohammad Montaka Mufrat. They are suspended for four years, and Antar Chawdhury, student of level 2 (semester-1) of Faculty of Animal Husbandry was suspended for two years.
University Registrar Abdul Khalek confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The University Syndicate in an urgent meeting took the decision on Wednesday morning.
On the other hand, general students rejected the decision of university and staged a protest procession at the premises of Bijoy-71 in the university campus.
On April 1, Saad Ibne Momtaz, a fourth year student of Fisheries department also Bangladesh Chhatra League leader of BAU unit was killed in an attack allegedly by a rival group.
