CHANDPUR: Three people were killed and four others injured as lighting struck at Haimchar upazila in the district on Wednesday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known till filing the report.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Haimchar Thana M Mirajul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Lightning struck three people at a tea stall in the area, leaving them injured critically, he added.

Local people rushed them to a local hospital where on duty doctor declared them dead.
