CHITTAGONG: Police nabbed one for gas cylinders cheating in Bayzid Bostami Thana in Chittagong port city.

Police in a drive on Thursday evening arrested one member of the racket, engaged in branding cylinders with several reputable companies including Bashundhara.

Police also seized 18 cylinders, including eight with Bashundhara stickers from a gas cylinder supplying company in Oxygen Mor in Bayzid Bostami Thana area.

Bayzid Bostami Thana Officer-in-Charge Sairul Islam told banglanews that on information they had raided the racket that was cheating people with tampered gas cylinders.

He said that the company had no permission of supplying gas cylinders.

The OC without disclosing the name of the arrestee further said that they had arrested one and would interrogate him for more information.
