TANGAIL: Hundreds of passengers remain stuck in a 45-kilometre long tailback on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Saturday due to a blockade of poultry farm owners.

The farm owners put barricade in Alenga bus stand area around 1:00pm on a demand of getting fair value of their products.

The agitating district leaders of Bangladesh Poultry Farm Association claimed that they are getting lower price of their products and they will continue their protest until their demands are met.

Sources said that on information, representatives of the local administration rushed to the spot to fix the matter through negotiation.
