NOAKHALI: Three passengers were killed and three others injured in a head-on-collision between a tractor and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Char Kakra union under Companiganj upazila of the district on Saturday midnight.

Alamgir Mirza, 30, died on the spot while Habib, 38, and Harun, 25, succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.

Locals said that the tractor collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area around 11:30pm, leaving one dead on the spot and injured five others critically.

The injured were admitted to Noakhali Medical College Hospital.  

Companiganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Sazedur Rahman Sazid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
