COX’S BAZAR: Two students of Ahsanullah varsity died, four are still missing while three others are in critical condition after they drowned in Bay near Saint Martin’s Island Monday.

The deceased were identified as Montijul Islam Iban and Saddam Hossain.

Three rescued are Foysal, Farhan and Asif while the missing are Sabbir Hasan, Shariar Rahman, Uday Mahmud and Golam Rahim Bappi. All are students of Computer Science Department.

Earlier in the day, nine students drowned in the Bay as wave swept them away in sea when they went there for bath near Saint Martin’s Island.

Five of them were rescued in critical condition. Two of the rescued students died at hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Thana Ranjit Kumar Barua confirmed the matter to banglanews.
