SIRAJGANJ: Five police personnel, while accompanying the motorcade of State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, were injured in a road accident in the Sadar upazila of the district on Monday noon.
Quoting witnesses, police sources said, a police van that was deployed to ensure the security of State Minister Shahriar Alam collided with a Nasimon on the link road (west) of Bangabandhu Bridge in Kadda area of the upazila, leaving five cops injured.
They were treated locally and at Sirajganj General Hospital. Minister visited the injured officials and talked to them.
Officer-in-Charge of Bangabandhu Bridge (West) Thana ATM Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
