GAZIPUR: At least five people were killed in a head on collision between a truck and a leguna (human hauler) in Chandra intersection area under Kaliakoir upazila of the district Tuesday at 8:00am.

The deceased were identified as Sobhan, 26, Sadek, 40, Abdul Hakim, 45, Jahangir Alam, 35 and Khadiza Akter, 20.

One of them died on the spot while the others succumbed to their injuries on the way to hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Kaliakoir Thana Omor Faruk confirmed the matter to banglanews.
