KALIAKAIR, GAZIPUR: Two passengers were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Kharajura area under Kaliakair upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Joynal Abedin, 55 and Wahid, 40.

Sources said that a speedy truck knocked a passenger laden human hauler locally known as Tempo in the area around 8:00am, leaving seven people injured.

Later, the two critically injured men died on the way of Kaliakair Upazila Health Complex.

Kaliakair Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Nasima Aktar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
