DHAKA: At least 7 people were injured when a truck rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Demra Bridge area of the capital at 8:00am Friday.

The injured were decorator workers –Rani, 25, Rani, 26, Laily, 30, Taslima, 24, Sumi, 24, Mamata, 20 and Monir Hossin, 32, driver of the CNG.

Fellow workers Alauddin said, “The CNG, carrying the workers, was traveling towards Demra Staff Road from Chhanpra of Rupganj; on arrival in the area, a truck hit the CNG from behind, leaving 7 people including the driver injured”.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital. Of them, Monir is in critical condition.
