RAJSHAHI: A seven-member committee was formed after an emergency meeting of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) managing committee on Monday over attacking journalists by intern doctors.

Director of the hospital Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin will lead the investigation committee.

The committee was asked to submit a report within seven days.

President of RMCH managing committee Fazle Hossain Badshah MP said the meeting started around 11:00am and it ended through the decision of forming an investigation committee.

Earlier, cameraperson of Jamuna TV Rassel Mahmud and journalists of Ekushey TV were beaten mercilessly by the intern doctors while they were covering news.

Moreover, the intern doctors were charged for negligence in their duty and misbehaving with the patients and their relatives.
