DHAKA: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved five projects involving Tk 2072.53 crore.

The approval came from a meeting held at the NEC conference room in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

The projects are Fisheries at Hawr area which will cost Tk 64 crore, Hawr Fishing Management Tk 37 crore, New Generation Network NGN-based Telecommunication Network establishment costing Tk 1861 crore, Laksham-Nangalkot-Kodalia road development project Tk 49 crore and Ahsania Mission Hospital development project which will cost Tk 100 crore.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal (Lotus Kamal) made the disclosure while talking to journalist after the meeting.

Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan and Planning Secretary Bhuiyan Shafiqul Islam were among others present at the meeting.
