SYLHET: Two housewives in Gowainghat of Sylhet were chopped to death by their brother-in-law over family feud on Friday noon.

The deceased were identified as Hasina Begum, 40, wife of one Azir Uddin and Maleka Begum, 38, wife of one Jamsu Mia while the killer was identified as Makon Mia, 45, hailed from Pantuai village of the upazila.

Confirming the matter, West Jaflong UP member Munshi Momin told banglanews that the deceased were Makon’s paternal cousins’ wives.

Locals handed over Makon to police, he added.
