COX’S BAZAR: Operations at Teknaf land port remained halted for last five consecutive days till Saturday following an indefinite strike of the traders.

The strike causes a loss of Tk 41 lakh revenue to Government in average.

Earlier on April 21, Border Guard Bangladesh detained five people including the port Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Association treasurer Ayach and association member Ziabul during an anti-Yaba drive.

Following the detention, the C&F traders held a meeting the district administration on Thursday that ended with no fruitful result and they continued with the demonstration then.
