CHANDPUR: Two minors drowned in a pond in Hatila Tangirpar Balia village under Hajiganj upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Sabina Yasmin, 6 and Sani Ahmed, 6.

Family sources said that the victims were playing in the yard of the house and they went missing after a while.

Later, the bodies were found floating on the water of adjacent pond around 5:30pm.

Hajiganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Shah Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
