NARAYANGANJ: Miscreants in guise of the law enforcers abducted five persons along with Nazrul Islam, Panel Mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), from the court premises on Sunday.        

Besides Nazrul, rests are Tajul, Swapan, Liton and the microbus driver.

Local sources said that the victims were kidnapped at gun point while they were preparing to return home appear after the court in the afternoon.     

Nazrul’s wife Selina Islam alleged that Siddhirganj Thana Awami League vice-president Nur Hossain and general secretary Yeasin might have been involved in the kidnapping.         

Officer-in-Charge of Fatullah Thana Abdul Matin said law enforcers are trying to rescue the victims.                  

A case was filed in this connection, he added.
