SIRAJGANJ: Train communication of north and west region has been stopped after eight bogies of Dinajpur-bound Drutijan Express derailed on Bangabandhu Bridge during a storm at 11:00pm Sunday.

No one was reportedly hurt in the incident while rescue train was on the way to spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Bangabandhru Bridge West Thana Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In the meantime, communications minister Obaidul Quader and Rail Minister Mujibul Haq were also on the way to the spot till filing the report.
