DHAKA: Government Railway Police (GRP) detained two passengers with firearms after they arrived in city’s Kamlapur Railway Station from Chittagong on Monday noon.

The detainees are Nurul Islam and Shamim Abdullah.

Railway Police sources said law enforcers conducted a special drive and held them from Subarna Express with an AK-22 rifles, two magazines, eight rounds of bullets, 10 detonators, three sluice gate knives and 10 power gels.

Officer-in-Charge of GRP Thana Abdul Mazid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
