DHAKA: A rickshaw puller was killed as a rashly driven human hauler (Leguna) in Nawabganj area of the capital on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Altaf Hossain, 30, son of Motaleb Mia, hailed from Pirgacha upazila of Rangpur district.

Brother of the deceased Momin told banglanews that a rashly driven human hauler knocked Altaf down near Fiction Park at Nawabganj at 8:00pm, leaving injured critically.

He was rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctor declared him dead.

DMC Police Camp In-Charge Mozammel Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
