DAULATPUR: More than 100 houses were gutted in a fire while more 500 were devastated in storm in Chilmari and Ramakrishna union under Daulatpur upazila of the district on Thursday night.

Chilmari union parishad chairman Sayed Ahmed informed banglanews that the fire originated from a stove of around 12:00am during Kalboishakhi.

He said ‘Besides, more 500 houses were devastated by this storm.’

The fire extinguished later when rain starts, union parishad chairman added.
