MONGLA (BAGERHAT): At least 50 houses were destroyed and 50 boats capsized when a monsoon storm lashed the Upazila on Saturday noon.

The boats capsized in Poshur River during fishing, leaving 10 fishermen injured.

Upazila project implementation officer Nahiduzzaman told banglanews, “More losses have appeared at Chila union of the upazila as it is located beside the river.”

The storm caused a power supply cut in the area.
