COMILLA: Three minors drowned in a pond in Nangolkot and Daudkandi upazilas of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Jannatul Ferdous, 6, daughter of Abdus Sattar and Samia Akhter, 7, daughter of Master Abdus Salam, residing of Nangolkot upazila and 18-moth-old Taifa, daughter of M Tareque of Daudkandi upazila.

Local sources said Jannat and Samia drowned while they were taking bath in a pond adjacent to their house in the afternoon.

Officer-in-Charge of Nangolkot Thana Nazrul Islam told banglanews that later familiy members recovered the bodies.

On the other hand, Taifa was found floating after playing at their home premises, near a pond.

She died on way to local hospital.
