HABIGANJ: Three people were killed and four others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Andiura area under Madhabpur upazila of the district on Monday morning.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Ruhul Amin, 17.

Locals said a Dhaka-bound microbus collided head-on with a fish laden Pick-up van in the area at 6”00am, leaving two people dead on the spot and five others injured.

On information, police rushed in and sent two bodies and injured five passengers to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex. Later, the injured were referred to Brahmanbaria Sadar Adhunik Hospital

Another passenger, aged at 32, succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.  

Shayestaganj highway thana officer-in-charge Ajazur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
