BRAHMANBARIA: A devastating fire gutted at least 26 shops in Nasirnagar of the district on Wednesday dawn.

Victim owners claimed loss worth TK 10 crore in the fire incident.

Local sources said that the fire engulfed at the Harinber Bazar of the upazila at 4:00am Wednesday after originating from a short circuit at a shop there.

Later, Madhabpur fire fighting unit from Habiganj rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after four hours frantic efforts. 

Madhabpur Fire Services and Civil Defense’s station officer Kazi Motahar Hossain told banglanews that the loss worth TK 10 crore in this incident, shop owners claimed, and no one was injured.
