GAIBANDHA: A policeman was killed in a road accident on Gaibandha-Nakaihat road in Sadar uapzila of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Saki Pradhan, 55, a Sadar Court Police of Gaibandha.
Local sources that a covered van knocked the man down while going to his work station by motorcycle in the morning, leaving him injured.
Later, passers-by rushed Saki to the Gaibandha Sadar Hospital where duty doctor pronounced him dead.
