JESSORE: A training program titled ‘Poverty Alleviation through Urban Participation’, a novice training program in the jute industry.
Private development organization Care, UPPR and Ahad Jute Mills jointly organized the event on Tuesday.
Around 200 women workers took part in the training program.
The goal of the project is especially for employment of the poor women in urban areas.
Jessore Municipality Mayor Maruful Islam was the chief guest while Abul Kalam Azad from UPPR and Care Bangladesh Jessore region project officer Osman Gani were present in the inaugural session.
With Ahad Jute Mills Manager Abdus Shahid in the chair, the function was moderated by Care Ahad Jute Mills Coordinator Mamun Azad.
