PARBARTIPUR (DINAJPUR): Transport workers went on an indefinite strike in all routes of Dinajpur from Thursday morning centering a clash between transport workers and students of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University.

Sources said that, the transport workers attacked some students and vandalized some vehicles in the campus area over a trifling matter. However, in response, the students vandalized vehicles, blockaded roads in a counter attack earlier on Wednesday.

Dinajpur district Transport Workers Union decided to enforce the strike after a meeting with the transport workers immediate after the incident.

The strike caused untold sufferings to the common people.
