NARAYANGAJ: District police administration has transferred its three officers including Siddhirganj thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Matin and detective police OC Mahbub Reza.

Among them, Siddhirganj thana OC has been transferred to Tangail, while detective police OC and investigation officer Abdul Awal to Barisal range.

The transfer order was issued on Thursday on the ground of recent seven murders and law and order deterioration in the district.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Monaj Kanti Baral and Superintendent of Police Syed Nurul Islam were transferred. Some Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) officials including Commanding Officer (CO) Lt. Col. Tarique Sayeed also took back on the incident.

DC of Tangail Mohammad Anisur Rahman Mia and SP of Narsingdi Khandakar Mahid Uddin were appointed to Narayanganj.

Seven people including Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, lawyer Chandan Sarkar and five others were abducted from Narayanganj city on April 27.

Later on April 29, six of their bodies were found floating in Shitalakkhya river while another on the following day.
