DHAKA: A Faridpur court Thursday sentenced a man to death and two people including a woman life-time imprisonment on charge of killing a madrahsa student in Boalmari upazila of the district.

Convict Azizar Mollah was awarded to death penalty where Yunus Fakir and Rehena Begum were sentenced for life.     

Judge Murad-e-Mowla passed the verdict in presence of the convicts.

The court also jailed a woman for five years and exempted two others. 

Judge Court Public Prosecutor Khasruzzaman said that the convicts killed Sabbir Hossain Imon, 14, a class eight student of a local madrasha of Felanagar village under the upazila on April 26, 2009.      

Later, victim’s father filed a murder case with Boalmari Thana accusing six men including the convicts.
