4 Bangladeshis killed in Dubai

DHAKA: Four Bangladeshis among 15 killed and 14 others injured in a road accident at Colonel Dr Khalid Ali Ghanim Almarri city in Dubai, UAE on Saturday morning.   

Colonel Ali Ghanim, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station said that the accident occurred when a bus carrying 29 workers rammed a heavy truck parked on the hard shoulder, killing 13 people on the spot.

According to the statement issued by the Dubai Police, the injured were rushed to Rashid Hospital and Al Baraha Hospital. Two of the injured died shortly at the hospital which increased the toll to 15.

First secretary of Bangladesh consulate in Dubai AKM Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.  

He told that identities of the victims are yet to confirm.
