DMCH outdoor services halted

DHAKA: Services at outdoor of Dhaka Medical College Hospital halted again as intern doctors locked the door of ticket counter of hospital. 

Following the incident hundreds of patients and their relatives coming from different parts of the country are facing immense sufferings.

Witnesses said that hundreds of intern doctors brought out a procession at the hospital premises around 11:00am and then they locked the outdoor ticket counter of the hospital. 

Confirming the matter, DMCH Ansar Platoon Commander Abdul Khalek told banglanews, “Locking the ticket counter, the procession of intern doctors paraded inside of the hospital which created panic among patients and their attendants.”

On the other hand, Outdoor Ward Master Abdul Gafur said that according to the government rule, the outdoor remain open at 8:00am and closed at 2:00am. 

Amid the protest and tension, emergency department of the hospital will remain open, said the hospital sources.
