RANGPUR: An indefinite bus strike, enforced by Rangpur District Motor workers Union, is underway on Rangpur-Dinajpur route from Monday noon protesting the assault of a bus conductor.
The movement of all types of buses from the district to Dinajpur remained stopped from 12:00pm, causing immense sufferings to the passengers, a spot account said.
District Motor Workers Union president Tazul Islam Mukul told banglanews, “We called bus strike for indefinite period in protest against beating up a conductor of a Dinajpur-bound bus by miscreants on Monday morning as he refused to give extortion.”
